How it works

The five steps are:
  1. You can suggest a project
    • The details and suitability are checked by your Local Criminal Justice Board (LCJB)
    • Successful projects are then placed on this website so that you can have your say
  2. You can have your say on your preferred project
    • The LCJB shortlists the best projects which in total are within the maximum bid amount for each area of £95,000
    • The shortlist is then submitted to the central panel* for scrutiny
  3. The central panel checks the suggested project bids against the project criteria
  4. Funding is approved
  5. Results of successful projects are published on this site

* the central panel will be chaired by the Office for Criminal Justice Reform and will be made up of representatives from the Home Office, Attorney General's Office and Ministry of Justice.
